GREAT YARMOUTH

Great Yarmouth’s new $129M multi-purpose outer harbour has opened for business, with PSA International, Stema Shipping and grain business Gleadell Agricultural agreeing long-term commitments. Operator EastPort UK wants to build on the port’s reputation for offshore support. The port is well placed to service the East Anglia Array windfarm development.

BILBAO

Spanish chemicals company Acoleq Quimicosis will invest $55M in constructing and managing a sulphuric acid plant at the Port of Bilbao. The company’s been allocated 21,850m2 of port land at the AZI bulk terminal to build the plant after the Spanish government approved an environmental impact study.
