A THERMAL coal mine that developers claim will be the world’s biggest is set to be developed in central Queensland, with the entire output to be shipped to China.
Mining entrepreneur Clive Palmer announced over the weekend that his company Resourcehouse, which is soon to be listed in Hong Kong, had secured backing from China Power International Development and Metallurgical Corporation of China for the project near the town of Alpha in the Galilee Basin.
